speak less

A Texas woman trapped in an abusive relationship discovers she’s pregnant and is forced to undergo a shockingly twisted supernatural procedure in order to regain her voice and her freedom.

Coming 2027

Set during the COVID-19 pandemic, the film centers on Danny, a recently widowed single mother, and her eight-year-old daughter, Wes. After losing their home, Danny convinces her daughter they’re “camping outdoors for fun, ” even though they’re really houseless. With only one day to raise enough money (around $200) for a deposit on a new place, Danny scrambles through gig work such as hair-braiding and deliveries, all while trying to shield her daughter from the harsh reality of their situation.

lalo’s house

Inspired by true events. Lalo’s House is a powerful short film inspired by true events surrounding child sex trafficking in Haiti. The story follows two young sisters, Manouchka and Phara, who are abducted and forced into a child trafficking ring disguised as an orphanage. As they struggle to survive in captivity, their bond and resilience become their only hope of escape. Written and directed by Kelley Kali as her USC thesis film, Lalo’s House exposes the hidden atrocities of exploitation while amplifying the voices of vulnerable children whose stories are often left untold.
